What the structure does

  • Loop pull measures 42 mm across the opening.
  • Zip base is boxed so the two halves stay lined up while starting.
  • Front cut short so it does not gather when seated.
  • Sleeve openings are wide and unfastened.

Where it stops working

  • The boxed base helps, but starting a zip one-handed is still the hardest part of this jacket.
  • A zip needs a continuous pull along its length. If your grip tires, a magnetic closure may be easier.

    Pulls together on its own from about 8 mm apart. A finger and a thumb are enough.

These are seated measurements. They are not the same as a standing size chart, so please measure rather than assume. If you are between two sizes, tell us and we will say which one we would send.

Seated chest
Sitting upright and wearing what you would wear underneath, measure right round the fullest part of the chest.
Seated back length
Sitting upright, measure down the spine from the bone at the base of the neck to the seat of the chair.
Front length
Sitting down, measure from the shoulder down the front to where the hem should stop. On this line the front is cut shorter than the back on purpose.
